Julie London At Vocal Best

On Liberty LP

Julie London, whose Cry Me A River became a big pop hit, gains stature with her Liberty LPs.

Talented Julie, who has proven her mettle as a dramatic actress, shows in her albums that her Cry Me A River hit was no vocalizing flash in the pan. In the LP titled “Lonely Girl,” Julie is as her vocal best with numbers like When Your Lover Has Gone, Remember, How Deep Is The Ocean, All Alone, What’ll I Do, and Where or When.

The “Calendar Girl” album provides Julie with some more original material as it follows the month-by-month theme: June in January, February Brings the Rain, Melancholy March, Memphis in June, September in the Rain, and Warm December. There’s a revealing photo of Julie for every month in the year, with the best one of all illustrating the 13th month and more of the great Julie London talent. Liberty LPs are tops in Hi-Fi, and these are no exceptions.
