Julie London’s Compilation Albums
As I write this on November 1, 2011, Julie London has been singing with the angels for just a hair over eleven years. During Julie’s active recording career from 1955 to 1969, she recorded something like 30 or 32 albums, depending on your yardstick. Since her death, I’ve chronicled below, 35 new albums, both foreign and domestic of re-releases of her music. This ignores EMI Music of Japan’s, 30 albums, remastered, digitized and re-released of all her original vinyl albums in June of 2010. Julie’s “With Body and Soul” album was first available as a digital album with this release in 2010. I haven’t checked, but I’m betting Julie is still selling more music than Elvis. I hope Julie’s kids and grandkids are all driving Ferraris as a result of the public’s continuing infatuation with Julie London and her musical gift.
